Tatiana Blades

Tatiana Blades is a Miami-born rock singer-songwriter whose music lives at the intersection of cinematic rock, intimate storytelling and emotional release.

Known first as the front-woman of So Flo alternative rock band The Collektives, Blades has developed a live presence built less around spectacle than connection—the belief that music can make a room full of strangers feel, for a few minutes, a little less alone.

In August 2026, she began a new chapter with her debut solo single, “That Night.” Written after the death of her close friend Katie Kipnis, who was killed by a drunk driver in May 2025, the song began as a voice memo singing on her kitchen floor and evolved into a personal meditation on grief, memory and survival.

The release quickly brought Blades' solo work into wider focus. Miami New Times selected “That Night” among its 15 Songs by Miami Artists You Need to Hear This Month, describing a voice capable of moving from “torch songstress powerhouse” to “ethereal resonance.” In October 2026, Blades appeared on the cover of AQUA Miami for its four-page feature, Going Her Own Way, which chronicled her unconventional path from dance and creative direction back to the stage and songwriting.

“That Night” has since completed Recording Academy screening with confirmed placements in Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for the 69th Grammy Awards process.

The single is the beginning rather than the definition of Blades' solo work. New material continues to explore rock and alternative influences without treating genre as a boundary, allowing each story to determine its own sound.

Music is part of Blades' lineage—she is the daughter of Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Roberto Blades and niece of 25-time Grammy winner Rubén Blades—but her artistic identity has deliberately taken another road. Her work is rooted in rock, alternative music and a simple philosophy:
